“Jennie – just a few lines, to thank you for arranging the accommodation at Aroa Kainga and the business contacts at RaroCars and Chantel at The Concierge who made the experience and tours possible. I have just emailed Chantel about the Game Fishing with Brendan, sharing a few photos and giving some lines for a review if he needs any promotional stuff from customers….. at the very last minute a Yellow Fin Tuna took the bait.

We left our grateful thoughts in the Visitors Book for Neville and his wife, they were so very helpful, from ensuring we had fresh fruit in the bungalow to advice on everything from cracking open coconuts to ideas on what to see/do driving around the island.”

  1. Hi Jennie

    The trip went beautifully well.

The bungalow (Aroa Kainga Bungalows) on Rarotonga was great. Everything I needed. Close enough to the beach. The beach was good. Close enough to the chippie and close enough to the bike hire which was about 200 meters away. No problems. The only drawback was the roosters. They went all night. Didn’t worry me but Sandra was beside herself. So it was off to the Chemist the next day for earplugs. Problem solved. Maybe a warning to the future customers. Its a rural setting and the roosters are very territorial.

Aitutaki. Spectacular. The pick up great. Was looking for the wrong man. Looking bewildered a local approached me and when I told him who I was looking for he was bewildered as it was his cousin and he didn’t live on the island anymore. I told him why and he said – you are looking for me. So we were sorted.

He gave us a nice and welcome introductory tour of the local area as orientation Much appreciated. Sorted out a scooter for me. Again much appreciated. The accommodation was superb Couldn’t have asked for more or better. Right on the beach Perfect. We were almost by ourselves so even better.

Found the food places and the Boatshed for dinners. The weather was perfect. The walk up the mounga was great each day and the view refreshing. The staff cleaning the places were a little amused by my daily walk. I didn’t mind that. There were no rooster issues here. The ones that crowd were a long way off.

The coconuts were easy enough to open. The passion fruit divine. Best I have ever eaten. Best.

We really enjoyed ourselves. It was just great.

Had a very good time. Memorable and all was well

    Thank you

    Rick

  2. Just to let you know that we had a fantastic time in Rarotonga and enjoyed our stay at Tricia’s apartment. Aroa Kainga. It is an ideal location, not far from the reef for great snorkeling. Tricia was also very helpful with suggestions and interesting to talk with as she has been in Rarotonga for some time now.
On your recommendation we visited Chantel who has a lot of knowledge about the island. Her friendly assistance was appreciated and she is certainly well-versed at marketing!
Thanks again for all your help with this trip. It was a refreshing holiday destination.
