Island Escape RAROTONGA is opening its doors as of September 2026 and Experience Rarotonga is so glad to have this property on board.

Private, quiet, and just back from the lagoon in Arorangi, Island Escape combines a three bedroom home with a separate studio villa on the same property, connected by a dedicated path. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in total, sold as one property. Set at a height that opens up a genuine west coast lagoon view, it’s built around a private pool and a generous outdoor entertaining area. Ideal for two families or groups travelling together who want their own space alongside shared outdoor living.

Island Escape is a four bedroom, three bathroom property made up of a three bedroom main house and a separate self-contained studio villa, sold and booked together as one property.

The three bedrooms share a central hallway air conditioning unit, keeping the whole bedroom wing cool. All windows throughout are screened.

Accommodation Capacity, Rates & Minimum Stay

Sleeps up to 8 guests across four bedrooms (main house plus separate studio villa).
Nightly tariff: NZ$850 for the property, for up to 8 guests.
Minimum stay: 7 nights (peak periods).
All rates include local Cook Islands taxes, and airport transfers can be arranged on request.

Island Escape is booked as a whole property (four bedrooms, three bathrooms). The studio villa is not available separately.

The Studio Villa

A separate, self-contained studio villa sits on the property. This is roomy, private and quiet, ideal for extended family or an additional couple or single travelling with you. It has its own kitchen, laundry, bathroom, outdoor shower and covered deck.

Laundry facilities are shared with the main house, including washing machine, tub, iron, ironing board, and a small clothesline/airer. Extra king sheet set and king blanket kept here for the studio bed.

Location

Island Escape is in Arorangi on Rarotonga’s west coast, just 700m from the main road via Akaoa No.2 Road. The elevation gives the property a west coast lagoon view and adds to the overall feel of the place — close to the beach but tucked away enough for a quiet, private stay.

A short drive, or stroll if you’re feeling active, gets you to Beluga, Discover Marine Eco and Wildlife Centre, a small convenience store, and Tumutoa Tours and their cafe. Sammy’s is just down the road too, now well known as a great little coffee or smoothie stop.

What Guests Might Enjoy

Room to spread out across two living spaces, a private pool for the whole group, and enough separation between the house and studio that everyone gets their own quiet corner when they want it. Add in the BBQ deck, west coast lagoon views, off street parking, and an easy stroll to local cafes, and it’s a great base for two families or a bigger group travelling together.
