Absolutely perfect!
Are-a-Matatui is the most perfect and beautiful place we have ever stayed. We stayed for 5 nights and didn’t want to leave! We were met by the house keeper at the airport who looked after everything during the week including advice on lagoon tours, where to eat, what to do – he was so helpful and lovely. The house was absolutely perfect, everything was clean, tidy and homely and had everything we needed for our stay. The accommodation is right on the beach with perfect swimming spots and the most beautiful sunsets in the afternoon. There are even kayaks, beach chairs and a BBQ if you want to cook for yourself!
Thanks so much for having us and we can’t wait to come back!!
Slice of paradise
We are a family group of 4 adults and this was one of the few places that could accomodate us all comfortably – the king size beds separate to 4 singles. Perfect!
The setting is also perfect. We had the garden unit, a little back from the beach but really almost beachfront like the others. We loved kayaking in the lagoon and watching the sunset while sitting under the palms.
The unit was beautifully presented and had everything we needed, though we have to admit we didn’t do much cooking.
Lawton was most helpful, from meeting us at the airport and taking us to organise scooters and do our shopping, to giving advice on places to eat and things to see and do.
A perfect place to relax and unwind. Wish we could have stayed longer.
A piece of paradise
We enjoyed the peace and quiet staying here which we struggled to find when we stay in a hotel. The place was nice and clean and loved the front porch and lazing on the beach reading our books. Mama was very helpful and friendly. She evened booked out snorkeling trip which we would highly recommend!
